W7A/PE-004 (Oracle Ridge)

After W7A/PE-029 (Agua Caliente Hill) I said I was not doing any more long hikes while it is 100+ degrees. I broke the rule and decided to do this summit because it was up in the mountains. Although it did not get as hot, probably in the 80s somewhere, the sun was hot enough to give me a decent sunburn. The hike from the start of the trailhead was 2.83 miles the way the crow flies, so add another mile or so to account for the zigs and zags and up and downs and that was this hike. It was nice to get out of the desert flats and get into some woods where you can find shade all day. All in all a decent hike, even though I forgot (like always) to find and sign the summit log.
